    • Paul Forrest, Chairman
      Paul has some twenty-five years experience of helping businesses to solve complex business problems, deliver their transformation goals and to achieve tangible strategic outcomes. Hands on and deep thinking, he has worked with many FTSE 100 clients, Global 500 businesses and major Government entities around the world including Ford Motor Company, VAG Group, BAE Systems, GSK, AkzoNobel, RBS, HBOS, Diageo, Bacardi, Wal-Mart, British Airways, Virgin Galactic, Etisalat, British Telecom, Vodafone and Allen & Overy. Paul also sits on the board of a number of agile, disruptive and challenger businesses whilst supporting value creation programmes for Private Equity backed businesses.
    • Matt Good, CEO
      Matt, the CEO of Advanced Capability Solutions (ACS), has 20 years business change and technology implementation experience across a global portfolio of investment, corporate and retail banks including RBS, Lloyds Banking Group, SMBC, HSBC, CitiGroup and ABN AMRO. As managing partner of our business transformation practice, Matt has delivered multiple strategic and tactical trading, finance, risk management and treasury systems globally. Over the last 2 years Matt has brought together and led a team of leading Industry Practitioners and SME’s to create ACS, a delivery focused consultancy and technology delivery house that has genuine subject matter expertise and IT implementation know-how at its core
    • Graham Burchell, Group MD
      Graham, the Group MD of ACS, is an experienced business leader with over 15 years’ of business strategy and operational management experience in large, small and early stage companies across multiple industries including financial services, FMCG and media. In addition to managing the day to day operations Graham is responsible for overseeing ACS’ strategic partnerships and growth strategy. Primarily this involves developing collaborative relationships with clients and global business partners to ensure that ACS is positioned to deliver sustainable and innovative client-focused solutions
    • Rohit Arora - MD India, Global IT Delivery
      Rohit is an accomplished technology leader with over 20 years of international experience in managing portfolios of multi-million dollar technology initiatives for many Fortune 100 organisations including Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and NBC. He has an extremely strong track record in the set up and execution of global technical operations (onsite-offshore). Rohit is the managing director of ACAP India Pvt Ltd, our offshore development centre in Gurgaon, India. He was instrumental in the setting up of the ODC from scratch that has since delivered multi million pound programmes of complex technology change for a number of our global clients.
    • Steve Miles, Partner Technology & Big Data
      Steve has 25 years of experience managing and delivering complex Information Delivery systems and running international Professional Services operations. He bridges the gap between the business and technology functions ensuring that expected outcomes are delivered. Having managed the consulting services at SAS UK and Allegro Europe, Steve has been an independent consultant delivering solutions across multiple industry sectors and technologies. Specialising in Risk Management solutions, Big Data and Systems Integration. Steve has the background to ensure organisations receive the solutions they require to maintain their competitive advantage.
    • Scott Lowe, Partner QA and Testing
      Scott has over 20 years of IT and Test Management experience across Financial Services, Telecommunications, Transportation and Oil and Gas industries. His focus of varied IT experience is in testing and project management with hands on and management experience in all phases of testing including; unit, system, systems integration, user acceptance, whole of industry, technical, operational acceptance and regression testing. Scott has driven multiple large scale system development and maintenance projects across numerous global financial institutions.
    • Simon Farrell, Partner Strategic Solutions
      Simon is a successful manager and director of programmes who consistently delivers major business transformation, IT infrastructure and application development projects to high levels of customer satisfaction, in multiple fast-paced, deadline driven environments. With over 9 years’ experience in Programme Management and over 16 years’ experience within the investment banking and financial services industry, Simon has proven experienced in writing business cases, controlling large scale budgets and forecasting time and resources, the development of project scope and the management of risk. Simon is highly successful at turning around underperforming projects.
    • Umar Khan, Partner Strategy and Middle East
      Passionate about business, people and psychology, blended with experience across corporate multi-nationals and high-value niche businesses. Umar has worked seamlessly across disciplines including Management & Technology Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Supply-Chain. Umar has successfully delivered very specialised, diverse, global programs for Blue Chip organisations and Oil & Gas Super-Majors through to the likes of the United Nations, NATO and US Military. Experienced in the art and science of development, Umar is passionate about strategic development of organisations through solving complex challenges, venturing into new territories and creating opportunities enabling successful growth. Umar has the attitude and aptitude to take on unusual, abstract and highly complex ideas and convert these into tangible, high-value results.
    • Andy Wilson, Partner Front Office Solutions
      Andy is a Director level Risk professional with 20 years experience within Investment Banking. After several years as Head of Market Risk for a German Landesbank, he moved into Risk Change to deliver risk and regulatory programmes. Andy has a demonstrable track record rescuing failing projects and successfully managing relationships with senior management at the CRO/CFO level with a controlled end-user focus. Building robust Front Office and Risk Management systems is Andy's forte ensuring strategic scalable solutions are successfully embedded into the organisation. With experience of both senior line and programme management across all asset classes including within Emerging Markets, his strong leadership and subject matter expertise aid the delivery of controlled, integrated programmes.
    • Ian Monahgan, Partner Finance and Treasury Solutions
      Ian Monaghan is a highly-experienced & change-driven Programme Director / Transformationalist with over 25 years of success in financial services, B2B, banking, consultancy, international and FTSE-250 corporate sectors. He has a collaborative approach to successful transformational leadership, engaging with business stakeholders at CEO/CFO/COO level & 3rd parties, delivering ‘fit for purpose’ finance and treasury solutions, integrations and business change. Highly accomplished, and able to design and execute large scale programme delivery strategies, visions and roadmaps with full lifecycle implementation experience, and a strong emphasis on mobilisation, governance and delivery. Experience of driving change management, business transformation, service transition, project strategies, post-acquisition migration, governance, risk management, programme implementation & benefits realisation.
    • Malcolm Farrell Staite, Partner Risk Solutions
      Malcolm has a broad spectrum of experience spanning 30 years in managing enterprise scale governance, risk and compliance (GRC) functions in the Banking and Insurance sectors, financial and business control environments. Malcolm is credible in multiple situations involving the delivery, on an international basis, of GRC solutions with strategic vision, objectives and integration, having successfully managed a number of significant transformations. Malcolm has advised and delivered at many global banks including Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, Rabobank and Banco Santander. Human Rights

Sustainability (Environmental) Policy

ACS recognises that businesses can have a negative impact on the environment. We are committed, and enjoy finding ways in which we can reduce the impact of our work both in the office and when work takes us away from the office.

It is our policy to:

  • To comply with, and exceed where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
  • To integrate sustainability considerations into all our business decisions.
  • To ensure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.
  • To minimise the impact on sustainability of all office and transportation activities.
  • To review annually and to continually strive to improve our sustainability performance.

Purchase of Equipment and Consumption of Resources

  • Recycle as much waste material as possible.
  • Avoid the use of paper wherever possible. For example, sending invoices and quotes via email as PDF files.
  • Recycling equipment that is no longer of use to the company. For example, giving away items such printers that we no longer use.
  • Keep energy usage low. For example, make it a practice to turn off lights when you leave a room that isn’t being used and ensure that computers are shut down after work.
  • Reuse waste paper (from the printer) where possible, making use of the blank side for notes etc.
  • Purchase products made with recycled paper. For example, paper towels, printer paper.
  • Purchase products with a lower environmental impact. For example environmentally safe soaps and detergents.
  • Purchase fair-trade and/or organic beverages.

Travel and Meetings

  • Walk, cycle and/or use public transport to attend meetings, site visits etc, apart from in exceptional circumstances where the alternatives are impractical and/or cost prohibitive.
  • Seek to offset carbon emissions when travel by air is unavoidable.
  • Avoid physically travelling to meetings where alternatives are available and practical, such as using teleconferencing, video conferencing or web cams, and efficient timing of meetings to avoid multiple trips. These options are also often more time efficient, while not sacrificing the benefits of regular contact with clients and partners.
  • Reduce the need for our staff to travel by supporting alternative working arrangements, including home working etc, and promote the use of public transport by locating our offices in accessible locations.
